Kidzplay is an amazing after school club. My son is so happy going and the activities that they do with the kids are fun and really creative. The team are friendly, caring and I know that my son is safe and well looked after

My daughter absolutely loves going to kidzplay at Hollybrook. The staff are so kind and welcoming and there is a lovely range of play and craft activities as well as the occasional movie with popcorn. I would highly recommend this club.
It has been wonderful to see our son’s confidence grow since he started at Kidzplay. He always found the transition to school difficult in the mornings but he now looks forward to going to breakfast club and races to get ready in the morning so he can be the first one there!
Our children both go to the Kidzplay after school club every day at Hollybrook and we all love it. The children are well looked after in terms of the high standards of care they receive and the healthy snacks they are given and we have every faith in every member of staff. The children all have a great time, with plenty of arranged activities for them to choose from each day and fun interaction from the staff. They have the opportunity to mix with all age groups from year R to year 6 and I strongly believe that their experiences their are genuinely valuable in terms of social interaction and education, rather than it just being childcare for the sake of them being looked after. This is great in ensuring that I never feel guilty about working full time; I know that they are highly likely to be getting a better experience their than if I just brought them home straight after school every day!
I have been working with Upper Shirley Kidzplay at the Ashby centre for almost 18 months. Being a key worker, they have been extremely helpful and supportive. As a single parent with 2 children, this kids club has been an absolute bliss in my life. I could never imagine working as a key worker in this Covid pandemic without their support and availability. Leah Megan , Tash, Karen and all the other staff has been absolutely brilliant and exceptional to work with. I will highly recommend this kids club to all the parent. From a very happy parent Fatima.
We needed to use breakfast and afterschool club for both our children because we both work full time and we have no family locally. I can honestly say the Halterworth afterschool club staff are like a second family to my children, they have felt so safe and cared for. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
Both my boys have attended Kidzplay at Halterworth from year R right up to year 6. Staff are compassionate and have at times gone the extra mile, not just for the boys but for me as a parent! From calling when I’ve forgotten a musical instrument, to putting up pictures to make my son feel less scared of certain things. During COVID when many of my friends’ children couldn’t access wrap around care, Sue and the team kept working. As a key worker this was invaluable. The care they took of the boys during that time eased the guilt I felt having to send them in. Sue is a fabulous asset to the team and is so warm with the kids. I always feel happy to send them in, and they are happy to be there.
Our daughters have been attending breakfast and after school club daily since they started school, and they have always thoroughly enjoyed their time at the Halterworth club. The care they receive is second to none, and it is a testament to the dedication and creativity of the staff that after all these years, they still regularly come home excited and proud with the products of their craft sessions. Staff are always friendly, supportive and accommodating, and it is a pleasure dropping off and collecting our girls every day. As parents, we really appreciate the fact that staff know our children very well and always cater for their needs, depending on whether they need stimulation, quiet time or some active fun.
The Halterworth clubs are fantastic. The children have the opportunity to take part in lots of activities and also really enjoy using the outside space. The staff are wonderful and very caring; we feel lucky the club is available to our family.
Kids play is absolutely amazing. My two children love going there. Every day there are new, exciting crafts which range from butter making to scratch art and idk pictures. There is a fantastic reward system for good behaviour and the staff are friendly and approachable. It’s 10/10 in my opinion.
Since Moving back to Southampton in November and Our son starting a new school, we wanted a kids club that would not only cater for breakfast but also an after school club for a few days a week, with an added bonus of it being on the school premises.
The very first day Flynn started at kids club he instantly said he wanted to go back and I can understand why. Julie and Marie are the absolutely pillars and have a created a friendly, fun and creative space for the kids to explore and unwind after a busy day lol!
Being a mum and working full time, can sometimes leave you with guilt when your child has to attend an after school club every day of the week after being at school all day, but since Alexa has been attending kidz play I don’t have guilt, as she loves going along to such a welcoming, friendly and safe environment. She’s always coming out with amazing creations she has made and always full of smiles when talking about after school club. All the staff are very friendly and I’m thankful for the support and passion that they put into ensuring it is fun for the children. Thank you.
